UAE to Witness Intense Heat in Coming Days; Temperatures May Reach 47°C, Warnings Issued for Dust Storms and Fog

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has announced that extremely hot and generally dry weather conditions will continue across the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the coming days. Authorities have advised residents to take precautions as temperatures are expected to rise significantly in several parts of the country.

Temperatures to Reach 47°C in Inland Areas

According to the latest weather forecast, temperatures in the country’s inland regions are expected to range between 42°C and 47°C. Desert and interior areas are likely to experience the highest temperatures. With intense sunshine during the afternoon hours, people working outdoors have been urged to take extra precautions against heat-related illnesses.

In coastal areas and islands, temperatures are expected to range between 36°C and 41°C, while mountainous regions may see temperatures between 32°C and 37°C.

Strong Winds and Dust Storms Expected

The NCM has also warned of strong winds affecting parts of the country. In western regions, wind speeds could reach up to 40 km/h, raising dust and sand in open areas. These conditions may lead to reduced visibility in some locations, affecting road travel and outdoor activities.

Motorists have been advised to exercise caution, especially during periods of blowing dust, and avoid unnecessary travel when visibility is poor.

Increased Humidity During Nights and Early Mornings

Humidity levels are expected to increase in coastal and inland regions during the nights and early mornings on Friday and Saturday. The combination of heat and humidity may make temperatures feel significantly higher than the actual readings.

Meteorologists have warned that dense fog could develop in some areas, particularly during the early morning hours. Drivers are advised to remain alert and adhere to speed limits, as visibility could be severely reduced.

Cloudy Conditions Over Eastern Regions

By Saturday, parts of the UAE’s eastern regions are expected to experience partly cloudy skies. While rainfall is unlikely, cloud development may increase over some mountainous areas.

Sea Conditions to Remain Mostly Calm

Sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to remain generally calm to moderate. However, authorities have cautioned that waters in the Arabian Gulf may become rough on Friday and again by Monday night.

Fishermen and operators of small boats have been urged to monitor official marine forecasts and follow safety guidelines before venturing out to sea.

Health Authorities Urge Precautions

With the intense summer heat continuing, health experts have recommended the following measures:

* Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated.
* Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, especially between 12 noon and 4 p.m.
* Wear light-colored, breathable cotton clothing.
* Take extra care of children, elderly people, and individuals with health conditions.
* Never leave children or pets unattended inside parked vehicles.
* Watch for symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Coastal Areas and Islands: 36°C – 41°C
Mountain Regions: 32°C – 37°C

As summer conditions intensify across the UAE, meteorologists expect hot and dry weather to persist in the days ahead. Residents are encouraged to stay updated with official weather advisories and take necessary precautions to protect themselves from extreme heat and adverse weather conditions.

കാർഷിക ഉൽപ്പന്നങ്ങൾക്ക് വിപണിയിൽ അർഹമായ വില ലഭിക്കാത്തതും, ഉൽപ്പാദനച്ചെലവ് വർധിച്ചതും കർഷകരെ കടുത്ത പ്രതിസന്ധിയിലാക്കിയിരിക്കുകയാണെന്ന് കോഴിക്കോട് കർഷക കോൺഗ്രസ് ജില്ലാ കമ്മിറ്റി യോഗം വിലയിരുത്തി. വിളവെടുപ്പ് കാലത്ത് ഉൽപ്പന്നങ്ങൾ വിറ്റഴിക്കാൻ സാധിക്കാത്ത സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ സർക്കാർ അടിയന്തരമായി ഇടപെട്ട് വിപണി സൗകര്യങ്ങൾ ഒരുക്കണമെന്ന് യോഗം പ്രമേയത്തിലൂടെ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.

കർഷകർ ഉൽപ്പാദിപ്പിക്കുന്ന കാർഷിക വിളകൾക്ക് സംഭരണ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ വഴി സർക്കാർ നേരിട്ട് സംഭരണം നടത്തുകയും, തത്സമയം പണം നൽകുന്നതിനുള്ള സംവിധാനം ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തുകയും വേണം. ഇടനിലക്കാരുടെ ചൂഷണം തടയുന്നതിനായി പഞ്ചായത്ത് തലത്തിൽ കൂടുതൽ കാർഷിക വിപണികൾ തുറക്കുന്നതിനും കർഷകരുടെ ഉൽപന്നങ്ങൾക്ക് ചുരുങ്ങിയത് ഉൽപ്പാദനച്ചെലവിനേക്കാൾ 50 ശതമാനം അധികമെങ്കിലും താങ്ങുവില ഉറപ്പാക്കാനും സർക്കാർ തയറാകണമെന്ന് യോഗം ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.
കാർഷിക മേഖലയിലെ പ്രതിസന്ധി പരിഹരിക്കാൻ സർക്കാർ അടിയന്തരമായി ഉന്നതതല യോഗം വിളിച്ചുചേർക്കണമെന്നും, കർഷകർക്ക് വായ്പ തിരിച്ചടവിന് സാവകാശം നൽകണമെന്നും യോഗം ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.

യോഗം മുൻ ഡി.സി.സി പ്രസിഡൻ്റ് കെ.സി അബു ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു.
